The payout for the GTA Online casino heist is a gamble you maybe want to go all in on. The plush new cash vacuum may have persuaded plenty of players to part with their hard-earned dollars after it finally opened, but now you have the opportunity to take some of it back—thanks to the backing of the Cheng family, and a certain special operative if you destroy all the GTA signal jammers.

This isn't any old bank job. According to Rockstar, this is "the biggest, most audacious, most complex criminal operation ever to hit Los Santos." This is a heist that'll be expensive in both time and resources, so it's important to know the maximum you can earn from breaching the well-defended Diamond vault and relieving the Duggan family of their cash. Here's everything you need to know about the Diamond Casino Heist payout.

What is the GTA Casino Heist payout?

According to Reddit, the maximum Diamond Casino Heist payout is GTA$2.1 million. While that's a persuasive sum, note that Lester will always take his 60k cut. Then the rest will be split among the heists participants; you can take on the heist in groups of either two, three, or four players, so your fee will be lower the more burglars make up your criminal gang.

That said, you'll need to buy a retro arcade before you can even start this daring heist. You can secure Pixel Pete's arcade in Paleto Bay for free if you've got Twitch Prime linked to the game. If not, you'll need to find Lester in Mirror Park and find the list of available arcades to purchase on EyeFind.

Once you've done that you can start planning the mission, which involves hacking keypads and getting past reinforced vault doors, often violently. Buying an arcade is mandatory for starting the Diamond Heist, so here's our guide on how to make money in GTA Online if your pockets are feeling a touch light.

Harry tells you how you should play your PC games, despite being really rather terrible at them. Good luck finding out how he holds down his job, though: He steadfastly refuses to convey information unless it’s in clickable online form.

GTA Online Diamond Casino Heist Setup Guide: Approaches, Access Points of Interest, Support Crew

The Diamond Casino Heist is the biggest ever to hit GTA Online, and requires drawing up meticulous setup plans to walk away with the maximum payout. Here’s a run-down of the setup board for the Diamond Casino Heist in GTA Online so you can beat the house.

To see this content please enable targeting cookies.

There are multiple different preparation options for you to choose from at nearly every stage of setup for the Diamond Casino Heist - from when you’re casing the joint to when you’re breaking into the vault.

The first time you successfully run the Heist is free. But you’ll have to pay to play thereafter.

GTA Online Diamond Casino Heist set up

Setup: Arcade Equipment

If you’re just beginning, to start the Heist first time you need to visit Lester in Mirror Park, then buy an arcade property. We have a full page on what you need to do, here.

Next head over to your new digs and a cutscene will play and you’ll be able to begin the first set up missions by walking over to the laptop in the empty arcade basement.

Interacting with the laptop launches the first setup mission - Arcade Equipment - where you track down some initial kit for your hideout.

Make your way to the Post Op Depository and chase down the jacked truck. Take out the drivers and schlep back to your arcade.

On your return another cutscene plays where Lester runs through the prospective plan in three parts: scope, prepping, score. He also briefly goes over the three ways that you can play the heist: stealthy, aggressive, or “the big con”.

First on your list is scoping out the casino for opportunities.

Scoping out the Casino - Scope every entrance and POI

These are all optional objectives that give you more options when you’re infiltrating the casino. Scoping is split into two missions, scope out the casino and scope out the vault contents.

You can scope all of the access points in scoping the casino, but you can only get the first six points of interest. The others are gathered from the separate scout “vault contents” mission.

These are the six Access Points to the Diamond Casino :

  • Main Door - at the front of the casino
  • Side Doors - take pictures of the keypad doors on the sides of the casino, there’s one on the back and left-hand side
  • Roof Terrace - four keypad doors, one next to the pool, one down the stairs behind the bar, two around the back jump off the ledge on the left-hand side of the pool and follow the path around
  • Security Tunnel - in the tunnel under the racetrack at the back of the casino, take a picture of the garage door
  • Roof - Take a picture of the two keypad doors either side of the helipad
  • Sewer Tunnel - Across the street from the casino is a big storm drain, head down into the sewer here and take a picture of the grate.

Here’s a picture of the sewer grate you’re looking for:

These are all of the points of interest:

Main points of interest

  • Security Guard - stood next to the elevator by the front desk
  • Keypad - on the casino floor, next to restricted access doors
  • 1st Security Camera - found on the ceiling of the main casino rooms
  • 2nd Security Camera - found on the roof and roof terrace
  • Valet - out the front door of the casino
  • Vault Blueprints - on the desk in the management office (requires VIP membership, go through Inside Track towards the back of the casino and you’ll see the door down a side corridor).

Vault Contents points of interest

To find these you need to move between the different camera views in the time allotted.

  • Carpeted room - POI pops as soon as you switch to this view
  • Metal Detectors - In grey room
  • Security Office door - doors in the room with the grey stripe running down the middle
  • Staff elevator - In the purple diamond casino room, pan to the two elevators on the right
  • Blue door - In the corridor with the elevator and blue door, pan to the door on the left

Finding these allows you to buy extras from your set up board, letting you find access points easier, or practise the skills you’ll need on the inside.

  • Casino Model - $130,000 - highlights access points
  • Door Security - $425,000 - practise hacking doors
  • Vault Door - $900,000 - practise cracking vault

Diamond Casino Heist - Should you choose Aggressive, Silent and Sneaky, or the Big Con

Now that you’ve earmarked your possible points of entry, it’s time to choose your approach.

They’re pretty self explanatory: Aggressive means you hit the casino hard and violently, Silent relies on clandestine stealth, while the Big Con goes full Ocean’s Eleven with disguises and subterfuge.

All of the routes require a similar amount of prep, so choose whichever you like the look of most - you can always play the others later.

If you need more detail, here’s a rundown of each.

Aggressive Heist Approach

If you’re a fan of GTA Online’s combat, then this is the approach for you. It involves fighting the casino security all the way through the building and using thermal charges to blow the vault open as well as the locked doors inside.

It has six mandatory set up missions, and seven optional with a further locked objective.

The six which you have to do are:

  • Get unmarked weapons
  • Find getaway vehicles
  • Acquire hacking device
  • Acquire vault keycards
  • Get thermal charges
  • Get vault explosives

The optional missions are:

  • Scout patrol routes
  • Disrupt Duggan shipments
  • Acquire security intel
  • Get power drills
  • Get security passes
  • Acquire masks
  • Find reinforced armor

The Big Con Approach

In this approach you don a disguise to get inside the casino, then sneak your way to the vault, drill it open, then grab as much as you can carry and fight your way out.

This is probably the most changeable approach, because you can find different entrance disguises and your plan changes quite a lot based on your entry point.

Through optional setup missions you can plan multiple disguises to get you out of the casino as well.

This approach has six mandatory set up missions which are:

  • Get unmarked weapons
  • Find getaway vehicles
  • Find a hacking device
  • Acquire vault keycards
  • Get your entry disguise
  • Get vault drills

There are seven optional set ups, which include:

  • Scout patrol routes
  • Disrupt Duggan shipments
  • Acquire security intel
  • Get power drills
  • Get security passes
  • Acquire masks
  • Find an exit disguise

Silent and Sneaky Approach

This is probably the toughest of the three to pull off successfully. It involves sneaking into the building with silenced pistols without getting caught, before drilling open the vault with a laser and avoiding security cameras to ride off into the sunset.

As with the others, there are six setup missions you have to do, with eight optional ones.

The mandatory ones are:

  • Get unmarked weapons
  • Find getaway vehicles
  • Acquire a hacking device
  • Get vault keycards
  • Acquire a nano drone
  • Find Vault Laser

Your optional missions are the same as the Big Con, except that you can find an infiltration suit and steal an EMP instead of getting an exit disguise.

Once you’ve chosen your approach, it’s time to get to work. Remember you can pay to skip certain missions, but not all of them.

Completing all of the optional set up missions gives you the best chance of success, but is not 100% necessary. Their main purpose is to give you options for when things go sideways during the job - so if you're unsure of your plan, make up for it by being prepared.

Which support crew should you choose for the Diamond Casino Heist?

Your support crew for the Diamond Casino Heist consists of a gunman, driver, and hacker.

These basically determine the difficulty level of the heist itself.

A better gunman will equip you with better weaponry.

While a better driver will get you better cars once you make a break for it.

Finally, a better hacker will give you more time in the vault without being detected.

Better support crews come at a higher cut of the total take, and some are more worth it than others. For instance, you’ll definitely want as much time in the vault as possible, so picking an expert hacker is an easy choice. But if you’re not planning on being detected, then top tier guns are a waste.

Take into account your overall approach and choose what fits your style.

GTA Online Diamond Casino Heist payout rewards

It’s what you’re here for after all. The total potential take in cash for one run of the Diamond Casino Heist is $2,115,000.

However, you won’t get all of that. Lester takes a small cut, then your support crew all take their allotted piece. There are then optional extras you can buy to help take the heat off of you in the getaway.

Then you actually have to steal and make off with all the money. Any damage you take inside the casino also reduces your take as you drop notes. This means that the rough player take can be anywhere from $400,000 to $1,750,000.

According to @TezFunz2 on Twitter, who's a reliable source for GTA and RDR2 Online updates, there are four possible random rewards for the Heist in the game's files - each with their own cap. Diamonds however are not yet available.

It’s not just story missions that are new in GTA Online. The latest update also dropped a ton of new vehicles for you to cruise around Los Santos.

How To Get Diamonds In Every GTA Online Casino Heist

Diamonds are a gamer's best friend. Rockstar finally saw fit to add actual diamonds to the Grand Theft Auto Online Diamond Casino Heist. These glittering gems are worth more than cash, more than artwork, and even more than those shiny bricks of gold. According to Rockstar, diamonds can lead to you walking away with "up to 50% more than your average cash haul."

Tempted? Of course you are. There's just one problem: diamonds have the lowest chance of spawning in the casino's vault. You're much more likely to run into cash or artwork. However, Rockstar has generously increased the odds of finding diamonds upon completing the Diamond Casino Heist during Valentine's Day week (Feb. 13 to Feb. 20).

What are you supposed to do for the rest of the year? Players ranked the chance of finding diamonds at a dismally low 8% when there's not a special event like Valentine's Day going on. You'd have to do a whole lot of heists to encounter this rare currency. That's a lot of time and effort down the drain. Worry not, dear player, because there is an easier way.

A special thanks goes to YouTuber MrBossFTW for his careful explanation of this apparent exploit: he has discovered a way to guarantee diamonds in every GTA Online Diamond Casino Heist. First, you'll have to have successfully completed the heist using all three methods: Stealthy, The Big Con, and Aggressive. After that, you'll be given the ability to cancel the heist at will.

Essentially, this not-quite-exploit requires you to go through with the heist up to the point where you scope out the casino. Using the Sightseer app, you can view the vault security feed (from the men's bathroom of all places) and see what's there: gold, artwork, cash, or diamonds. If there aren't any diamonds, you can just give Lester a call and end the heist then and there.

But wait — doesn't that mean throwing $25,000 down the drain? Technically yes, but you'll earn that back and then some upon completion of a heist with guaranteed diamonds waiting for you at the end. Sure, there's effort involved, but not near the same trouble you'd have to go through if you were forced to complete the heist for a puny payout.

WORLD RECORD Vault Haul $5,951,160 - Silent \u0026 Sneaky Casino Heist - GTA Online

GTA 5 Wiki Guide

The Diamond Casino & Resort has been taken over by the Duggans, Texan petrochem magnates who wrenched control from Tao Cheng and the Triads. Georgina Cheng, Vice President of Cheng Holdings, wants to take the Duggans down, and she needs help to do it. Team up with her, and hacker genius Lester Crest, to plan and execute a heist like no other. This heist has a variety of approach vectors, several opportunities for setup and prep missions, and objectives may change on the fly if things go wrong during the job.

The Hideout

Players can obtain the new Arcade Business property by meeting Lester in Mirror Park, which will house the following playable games:

  • Badlands Revenge II
  • The Wizard’s Ruin
  • Race and Chase: Street Legal
  • Race and Chase - Get Truckin’
  • Space Monkey 3: Bananas Gone Bad
  • Shiny Wasabi Kitty Claw
  • Nazar Speaks Fortune Teller
  • The Love Professor
  • Defender of the Faith (Degenatron Classic)
  • Monkey’s Paradise (Degenatron Classic)
  • Penetrator (Degenatron Classic)

Players must own an Arcade, which can be purchased from Maze Bank Foreclosures, and be registered as a VIP, CEO, or MC President to gain access to the Arcade setup mission. The setup mission must be completed to gain access to Heist planning

Heist Structure

The Diamond Casino Heist is a bit different from previous heists in GTA Online. There are several heist setup missions, and they will differ based on the approach you decide to take. Players can collect certain pieces of equipment, which will allow them to practice elements of the heist, to increase their likelihood of success. As long as your crew has shared lives remaining, failure isn't the end. Failing specific scenarios will not mean the end for the heist as a whole, but rather shift the team into a new scenario.

NOTE: Heist Setup missions can be completed alone or coop with players in your Organization or Motorcycle Club.

Heist Setup Missions

There are several heist prep missions, and they will differ based on the approach you decide to take. Setup missions can be launched from the Heist Setup Board in the Underground Hideout, and revolve around intel acquisition. These missions can be used to gather information and equipment to aid in the heist.

NOTE: These missions are not replayable.

Once players have completed the one-time missions, they will need to choose a Heist approach.

  • Silent & Sneaky: Players attempt to enter the vault undetected, giving them the least resistance and the longest amount of time to steal from the vault.
  • The Big Con: Players attempt to enter the vault by passing themselves off as workers, creating minimal resistance and requiring finesse.
  • Aggressive: Players attempt to enter the vault by force, using weapons to overcome extreme levels of resistance.

After an approach has been chosen by the Heist Leader, heist prep will begin.

Setup is free for the player’s first time, and after completing the Heist Finale, the player can begin Setup again for GTA $100,000 after a 10 minute cooldown.

Heist Prep Missions

Heist Prep will change, based on the heist approach chosen by the group leader, and which ones are completed will determine the various bonuses, equipment, weapons, vehicles, and crew they will have access to in the Heist Finale. Players will be able to select their Heist Crew based on various factors, with each one contributing a particular skillset to the job.

NOTE: Heist Prep missions can be completed alone or coop with players in your Organization or Motorcycle Club.

Heist Finale

Once players have picked their approach and completed prep missions, the Heist Leader can initiate the finale.

NOTE: The Heist Finale requires 2-4 players to initiate.

After finalizing details and choosing the location of the Buyer, the Heist Finale will begin. This stage will vary wildly based on the approach chosen, the particular intel players gathered, and the equipment obtained during the Setup phase.

NOTE: When replaying the Heist, the approach used during the last completion will be unavailable, and on the next replay, that particular approach will be more difficult, and marked by a Skull Post-It note.

GTA Online Casino Heist Update Adds New Diamond Reward Potential

The Diamond Casino Heist sits at the center of GTA Online's newest weekly update, which adds triple rewards and rumors of a diamond vault.

The Diamond Casino Heist serves as the cornerstone of Grand Theft Auto Online's latest weekly update, adding in double rewards, triple rewards, and rumors of a new diamond vault. Rockstar Games unleashed the Diamond Casino Heist content update in mid-December of 2019, tasking players with infiltrating the Diamond Casino & Resort that had been taken over by the Duggan Crime Family.

A family of Texan petrochemical magnates, the Duggans seized control of the casino from former proprietors Tao Cheng and the Triads. The original owners naturally wanted to bring the corrupt family to its knees, which is how players entered the picture. With help from master hacker Lester Crest, the Cheng family's holdings company and the protagonist partnered with one another to execute an elaborate heist of epic proportions. Now it seems yet another diamond vault may be ripe for the picking.

A Rockstar Newswire post notes that word from within the Diamond Casino indicates a diamond delivery could flush the vault with new riches this week. Players must determine the legitimacy of the claim for themselves by scouting the vault. The weekly update offers a more honorable way of making extra cash from the casino, as well. From now until April 28, anyone who completes Casino Work for Agatha Baker can expect to receive triple the usual in-game cash and RP. A couple of the errands Baker wants players to run around Los Santos include chauffeuring the casino's VIP guests and fighting off mercenaries. On the other hand, all of the Rockstar Games-created Stunt Races rewards players with double money and RP from now until April 28.

Arguably, the potential diamond heist may among the most intriguing weekly update additions for GTA Online in quite a while. That players must scout the casino means that whatever prize awaits, if there's a prize at all, will not come easy. Such an update could be the motivation some fans need to jump back into the experience.

The last major update for Grand Theft Auto Online, the Cayo Perico Heist, went live back in December. Most notably, this particular content drop introduced an exotic heist location, submarine HQ, new weapons, guest DJs, and additional social spaces. If and when Rockstar plans to deploy another update of this caliber is not yet known.

How much are diamonds worth in GTA Online's Diamond Casino Heist?

"Diamonds are forever," but such is not the case with GTA Online, as Diamonds appear in the vault only occasionally. The Diamond Casino Heist was easily one of the most hyped heists in the game, and it certainly lived up to those lofty expectations.

One of the heist's best aspects was the different approaches and choices of crew personnel that players could take for the heist. Plus, it also helped that the vault at the Diamond Casino contained several different types of loot, the highest value of which are diamonds.

Yet they only appear seasonally in GTA Online, mostly for a week or so. This week's update sees the return of said diamonds, much to the delight of the fanbase.

The worth of diamonds in GTA Online's Diamond Casino Heist

According to GTAboom, the maximum potential payout of diamonds from the vault rounds up to about $3.619 million. However, when factoring in the cuts of crew members as well as Lester, the final value comes down to about $2,714,250.

This is absolutely staggering, and considering the fact that the minimum players required for the heist are two, the individual take can be massive. Ultimately, it boils down to just how skillfully players are able to maximize their time in the vault and grab all the diamonds that they possibly can.

The payout for the Diamond Casino Heist is pretty great, but diamonds certainly help make it that much more significant in GTA Online. Depending on how many challenges players are able to complete during the heist in GTA Online, the payout can differ pretty significantly.

Payouts for other items in the vault:

In order to start the Diamond Casino Heist, players must first meet Lester in Mirror Park and then purchase an Arcade from Maze Bank Foreclosures.

GTA Online Diamond Casino Heist - Setup And Approaches

By Jesse Lennox

ShareTweetEmail

If you want to get your GTAO team out of Diamond Casino with the most cash possible, make sure you follow these steps.

The Diamond Casino Heist is the most involved and difficult task to pull off in all of GTA Online. If you want to get your team out with the most cash possible, make sure you follow these steps.

Just like a true heist, the Diamond Casino Heist in GTA Online will take a lot of prep work to pull off successfully. You and your team will have options at nearly every stage of the heist to determine how it will all play out, and your choices can drastically change how much, or how little, of that sweet loot you end up walking away with. If you manage to walk away at all.

The Perfect Diamond Casino Heist Setup and Approach In GTA Online

Master The Setup

You, or at least one of your friends, will need to own an Arcade to even get access to this heist, so make sure you have that ready first. Once you do, you can enter your arcade, watch an introductory cut scene and get access to your first mission via the laptop. This is a nice warm up mission where you just go out to the Post Op Depository, steal a truck, and haul it and its cargo back to the arcade.

Related: GTA Online Summer Update: Everything You Need To Know

Having done that, the real setup begins with scoping out the casino. This entire section is optional, but you'll want all the intel you can get for this heist. You start out by finding as few or as many locations you can access the casino through, points of interest in the casino, and points of interest in the vault itself.

There are six access points to the Diamond Casino you need to photograph. These are the Main Doors at the front, the Side Doors to the left and back of the building with keypads, the Roof Terrace has four more keypad doors, the Security Tunnel underneath the nearby racetrack, the Roof itself has two keypad doors by the helipad, and the Sewer Tunnel which you enter across the street.

Inside you're snapping pictures of the security guard near the front desk, the keypad to the restricted access doors, a security camera on the ceiling of the main casino floor and on the roof, the valet out front, and the vault blueprints in the manager's office.

Finally you will examine the inside of the vault through various camera feeds on a limited time, so hit all these spots as quick as you can. The first is just looking at feed of the room with the carpet floor, switch to the grey room and find the metal detectors, switch again to see the security office door, find the staff elevator on the right side of the purple casino area, and finally look at the blue door on the left in the hallway.

If you manage to spot all these areas in the setup, you will be able to purchase some useful tools for the heist itself. The casino model will highlight all the access points you found, the door security lets you practice the hacking minigame to break in, and the vault door does the same thing but for breaking into the vault.

How To Approach The Heist

You have three main choices for how you can approach taking this heist on: Aggressive, Silent and Sneaky, or the Big Con. Each have their own setup missions, but all have six that are mandatory and seven optional.

You probably already know if aggressive is the approach for you just based on the name. This method is all about blasting your way through the casino guards, blowing the vault door open with explosives, and then fighting off the cops as you make your escape.

The Big Con is your middle ground between the aggressive and stealthy options, and plays out a lot like you would expect a heist movie to. You start out sneaking in, using disguises and subterfuge to gain access to the vault before you drill your way in, bag as much loot as you can fit in your bags before a timer runs out, and then either sneak or shoot your way to your getaway.

Silent and Sneaky is the one that will be the hardest to actually pull off from start to finish, but if you can manage has the highest chance of you getting the maximum payout. Again, you know what you're in for with the title. This approach is all about sneaking in undetected, using silent weapons only when necessary, using a laser to open the vault, and grabbing the cash while never getting spotted by any cameras, staff, or security.

Despite each approach having seven optional missions, completing all of them makes them far more likely to succeed since they open up more opportunities for you to pivot and adapt with during your heist.

Finally, invest in your support crew. Hiring a gunner will upgrade your guns you take during the heist, the driver will leave you faster cars for your getaway, and the hacker increases the timer on hacking minigames. You don't need to hire them all, but choose which make sense for the approach you're going for.

Counting Your Loot

The highest potential payout for the heist, on your first run, is around $2 million depending on your approach and how many valuables you loot in the vault, but that's before any splits. You at least have to pay Lester a cut, then any support team members you hired, and any other perks you bought to use during the heist. Then, of course, you spill cash for all the damage you take while running it out of the casino. Finally, you will decide how much you split between your crew of two to four teammates before the heist itself starts.
