Fortnite Season 8: Combat Assault Rifle Stats &#; Location

Fortnite: Season 8 has brought with it a sea of change, no less so than in how new weapons are added. The Combat Assault Rifle is a brand new weapon that is down to the community to bring into the game.

Players can donate bars at Donation Boards to vote for whichever one of the Combat Assault Rifle and Combat SMG they want to see added to the game. Whichever weapon reaches the total amount of Gold Bars required first will be added to the game.

Here&#;s everything you should know about the Combat Assault Rifle in Fortnite: Season 8.

Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle Stats

WeaponCombat Assault Rifle
RarityLegendary
Damage25
Magazine Size35
Fire Rate9
Reload Time seconds

The Combat Assault Rifle will be available from Common rarity all the way up to Legendary, much like the normal Assault Rifle. The above stats are for the Legendary version of the Combat Assault Rifle.

The Combat Assault Rifle will be a fairly high skill weapon as it will have quite a bit of recoil, so you may want to jump into Creative. However, what&#;s interesting here is its high fire rate and general stats, which are closer to an SMG than an AR as we know it.

While its max damage is low, its fire rate will likely make up for it. Will also be interesting to see what kind of damage it can do to builds.

Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle Location

As a weapon that&#;s available from Common to Legendary, the Combat Assault Rifle will be available everywhere where loot normally spawns, including on the floor and in chests. You will also be able to upgrade its rarity by speaking to NPCs.

However, it has to be voted to be included in the game, first of all. If you want to see the Combat Assault Rifle make its way into Fortnite, be sure to spend 50 Gold Bars at Donation Boards whenever you have the Gold Bars spare.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.

Weapon Rating

*Weapons are rated from Rank "D" - Rank "S"!!

The Heavy Assault Rifle packs a punch in a single shot but lacks the versatility of the Legendary Assault Rifle. It's a weapon that works best in team battles where mid-range shootouts are more likely to happen.

Effective Range

The Heavy Assault Rifle shines best when used in the mid range. It can also be used to take down enemies at close and long range, but will be less effective when compared to its performance during mid range shootouts.

Heavy Assault Rifle - Traits & Tips

Heavy Assault Rifle - Weapon Traits

Deals Tons Of Damage

The Heavy Assault Rifle can dish out tons of damage and will be a formidable weapon when used against other players.

Performs Best When Shot In Bursts

This weapon will perform better for you when shot in bursts. Don't spray all your bullets at the enemy, take your time and slowly chip away at their shields and health!

Heavy Assault Rifle - Weapon Tips

Use In Combination With Another Weapon

Firing in bursts may leave you without enough bullets to finish off opponents. Always have another weapon you can swap to so you can finish enemies after softening them up with the Heay AR.

Check How Recoil Affects Your Aim

Recoil for the Heavy AR may be stronger than for other Assault Rifles. Try firing a few shots to see where they land so you can adjust your aim accordingly.

Tactical Assault Rifle - Weapon Review

Weapon Rating

*Weapons are rated from Rank "D" - Rank "S"!!

Highly effective in close quarter to mid-range combat, the Tactical Assault Rifle is capable of ripping apart enemy health with its high fire rate and extended magazine.

Effective Range

*Effective range is rated by ◎ (Excellent), ◯(Good), △(Mediocre), ×(Bad)!!

Close RangeMiddle RangeLong Range

The Tactical Assault Rifle becomes more powerful the closer it is to its target. Due to its high fire rate, its bullet spray makes it less accurate for enemies at farther distances.

Tactical Assault Rifle - Traits & Tips

Tactical Assault Rifle - Weapon Traits

High Fire Rate Assault Rifle

One of the Tactical Assault Rifle's main feature is its high fire rate. This allows it to shoot out more bullets compared to other available Assault Rifles.

Less Reloads with Extended Magazine

The extended magazine allows players to shoot out for longer durations before needing a reload. This feature goes hand-in-hand with the Tactical Assault Rifle's high fire rate.

Close- to Mid-Quarter Weapon

The Tactical Assault Rifle's features make it most effective at close to mid range. It's highly specific to close to mid-range distances as it is where it performs best.

Headshot Multiplyer of x

:p:Dealing a headshot with the Tactical Assault Rifle will apply a % multiplier to its damage. :h3:Tactical Assault Rifle - Weapon Tips

Always Reload the Tactical Assault Rifle

Due to the high fire rate, it's fairly easy to burn through a magazine even with its extended magazine. Reload before a fight so you won't get caught reloading in the middle of a gun fight.

Bring a Backup Weapon

Unlike other Assault Rifles, the Tactical Assault Rifle isn't as versatile when it comes to its range. Compensate for this by having another weapon that can work for further ranges.

Keep Aim at Middle of Body

Enemies on instinct will jump up to make it harder for them to be hit. Keep your aim at the middle of body.

The Combat Assault Rifle has Been Fully Funded!

Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle: Release date, stats, and more

Despite backlash on social media towards Epic Games making players choose between the Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle and Combat SMG, it would seem that as of now the AR is the clear winner with more than 80% being funded.

Sadly, the Combat SMG picked the short end of the stick and will remain vaulted for the foreseeable future. Perhaps loopers will be able to have the weapon in the loot pool next season.

Although players will not get to try out the brand new SMG this season, they will soon be getting a hand-held gatling gun in the guise of an AR, able to beam opponents at mid range.

The Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle is an oddball of a weapon

When the term Combat Assault Rifle comes to mind, most imagine a close to mid range weapon capable of dealing massive amounts of damage with high precision and accuracy.

While the latter may be true for the new Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle, the former is a bit sketchy. It would seem that this new weapon, once thought to be powerful, is somewhat subjective in nature.

Statistics

For starters, the gun deals very low damage. How low? About 11 damage less than its counterpart, the Assault Rifle. However, what it lacks in damage, it more than enough makes up for in rate of fire.

Fire-Rate9

Reload Times

The Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle has an astonishing fire rate, which is very high. To put it into perspective, a Legendary tier Minigun has a rate of fire of So although the damage output is low, the weapon can essentially be used to beam opponents into submission,

To feed the ever-hungry bullet-eating Assault Rifle, developers have even slapped a 35 round magazine on the weapon, which is quite high for an AR. Players should be able to spray away without having to reload quickly.

Based on information from HYPEX, the Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle features a tight bullet spread, which comes at the cost of high recoil. Compared to a normal AR in-game, this weapon will require a good understanding of recoil patterns in order to master.

Release date

Well, much like round one of the War Effort donation drive, there is no fixed date on which players can expect to see the Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle go live in-game.

Also Read

As of the moment, the weapon has been funded to a little over 80%. If donations are held at the current rate, the item could be in-game within two days at the most. Furthermore, given that the weekend is fast approaching, many more players will be grinding for gold bars and donating around the clock.

If all goes well, the Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle should be unvaulted by Sunday, October However, much like the Shockwave Grenades, players may have to wait a bit before Epic adds them in-game for use.

Q. Excited for the Fortnite Combat Assault Rifle?

Oh yeah! It's Pew Pew time!

Was looking forward to the SMG.

Ar stats fortnite

Anyone following any Fortnite Twitter personalities has undoubtedly seen the newest guns added to the game, the Combat Assault Rifle (AR) and Combat SMG. These are alternative forms of the AR and SMG, and many players consider them superior to the standard and burst forms. In this guide, we provide the stats for these guns and how you'll get them in the game.

Weapon Stats

We have pulled these weapon stats from the Fortnite files themselves. You can use them for comparison to each other to see which gun might better suit your playstyle.

When will they be unvaulted?

For the first time, Epic Games gives players the option to choose which weapon they can unvault. You may have noticed that in Chapter 2 Season 8, there are War Effort donation boxes around the map. This is how players can bring either the Combat AR or Combat SMG to the game.

Related: Fortnite Vault List

Players can approach the War Effort donation boxes and contribute to the weapon they would like to use in the future. Once one weapon has been % funded, they will bring that one into the game and keep the other one vaulted.

How do we get them?

There is no guarantee how we will get the weapons once they are released. However, chances are they will be available as floor and chest loot. Since there is still crafting in Chapter 2 Season 8, it is also possible that the only way we can get them is by collecting Nuts and Bolts and using them to change an AR/SMG into their respective Combat versions. This page will be updated once we have more information on this.

That's everything we currently know about these new weapons!

New Combat AR In Fortnite (First Reaction)

Our Fortnite Assault Rifle Tips & Stats Guide will walk you through everything you need to know about this midrange weapon! We go over the full list of Assault Rifles with all of their stats and damage. We also hit topics that should help you learn how to use these better, with sections on accuracy, bloom, and general tips and tricks!

The Assault Rifle is a standard part of just about every player's loadout. It is the best and most consistent midrange option available, and knowing how to use one is important if you want to get some easy kills or lay some damage down on an opponent before you finish them off with a shotgun. Fortnite's use of the bloom mechanic might make some players hesitant to use these, but learning how-to mitigate this issue is relatively simple and can be easily learned!

Fortnite Assault Rifle FAQ

What is First Shot Accuracy?

A patch enabled what is known as, first shot accuracy. If you stand/crouch in one place and ads (aim down sights) your crosshair will eventually come together and make your next shot completely accurate. If you move, however, it will need to be reset. It used to be that you could crouch and quickly stand up to keep the % accuracy, but now if you do that it will reset the crosshair.

What is Damage Fall Off?

If you are further away from your target you will hit for less damage. Assault rifles damage fall off starts at 50 meters (no specific percentage was given). They do 80% of their damage at 75 meters and 65% of their damage at meters.

What is Bloom?

Games assign different ways for how bullets travel. One method is to have a set recoil pattern a gun will follow like in Counter-Strike: GO. Fortnite uses Bloom, which means the bullets have a random chance to veer off in slightly different directions than you might expect. The bullets will generally stay in the range of your crosshairs, but this can obviously be sometimes difficult to manage at times. Fortnite also does have slight recoil, your gun will travel upwards while you hold down the fire button.

Epic eventually added first-shot accuracy to help decrease randomness with guns with bloom. This is great if you have the time to focus in on a shot, but the randomness is still there if you can't afford to stay still for too long.

What's the Best Assault Rifle in Season 8?

Here's a general look at how the guns stack up against each other based on the rarity (some of this can be personal preference):

  1. SCAR
  2. Suppressed SCAR
  3. Heavy Assault Rifle (Nerfed)
  4. Assault Rifle

It's hard to deny the power of the SCAR, and to me it's the best assault rifle by far at the moment. The Suppressed SCAR is solid and some people might like it more than the normal version, but personally I'm not as much of a fan of it. The Heavy Assault Rifle had its damage nerfed, so while it's still good, it's just not as good as either SCAR option. The normal Assault Rifle is serviceable, but can be inaccurate - especially in the lower rarities

Where does the Scoped Assault Rifle or the Thermal Rifle Fit into my Loadout?

The scoped assault rifle is only a replacement for an assault rifle if you don't have one. This gun belongs more in your sniper slot rather than your rifle slot. It is actually quite good if you don't have a sniper or you don't like to use a sniper. When you are not moving and looking down the scope the shots are all % accurate. If you can find a safe spot and rattle off a bunch of headshots you can get quick knocks from a long distance. I find this to be a great beginner gun, but as you progress in your game you are better off learning how to snipe!

What's up with the Infantry Rifle?

It's a weird gun It's a semi-automatic assault rifle, but it has bullet drop on it like a sniper rifle. It was largely complained about for a while because the spawn rate was ridiculously high on it. They've removed the common version of it, and reduce the spawn rate. It's not a very good weapon, and is okay as kind of a sniper replacement if you really value that as an option.

Fortnite Assault Rifle Tips

Mitigate the Bloom

I explained Bloom above, but there are ways to lessen the effect it has on your shots. If you stay still, aim down the sights, and crouch your shots are much more accurate. Obviously this isn't always a good idea and is a good way to get sniped in the face. You'll want to do this very briefly and move back behind cover or only do it when you have time to take the shot.

You can also control your fire, don't hold down the fire button and just do single shots relatively quickly. Try to time this with small stops in movements which will increase your accuracy a bit.

Another thing you might want to try is aiming more towards the body rather than at the head. This makes sure you are more likely to hit the person because the bloom has more margin for error. I would generally always aim at the head for your first shot, but after that you might want to try to lower your aim down to make sure you are connecting.

Lower your sensitivity

Most really good players have pretty low sensitivity. This makes it easier for precise movement of your crosshair and allowing you to better aim at your target.

If you're up close don't ADS (Aim Down Sights)

It seems like a good idea to always be aiming down the sights because it helps you aim better, but if you're in a close fight and your only option is the assault rifle then it's usually best not to bother. It just slows down your movement making you more susceptible to getting shot and is a minor increase in accuracy at close range.
