Having had a week at Fleet Farm I felt a review was needed.

The site has the Potential to be a great relaxing site, however sadly that's just not the case.

Pricing is the main issue, £25 per night for a tent larger than 4 person is reasonable, but then add on £10 per night for a small pop up Gazebo, £2. 75 for a small camping trailer and the £4 for electric soon adds up to a very expensive price per night, considering ALL the above was contained with in the perimeter of the pitch, so didn't take up extra space.

The Owner makes NO effort to welcome guests, in fact we felt like we were intruding into his Back Garden.

Toilets and showers are adequate if you have low expectations. Whilst clean, the celling housed maybe 2 years worth of dead creepy crawlies which was very off putting, as was the very old style showers that trickled water.

As someone has stated it really is of the Carry of Camping Era, but sadly without the humour.

However the biggest issue we had was the pitches, the owner allowed 3 very large tents to pitch side by side, the last one the guy ropes actually pegged down tight against our tent, distance between tents maybe 3 feet at very best.

Would we go back. No not even if pitch was free, would we recommend the site. Not a chance.

The Warden does deserve a pat on the back. Friendly chap who is happy to have a chat and offer any info on local places to see etc. Very nice chap.

If you've driven by during construction of the new Cedar Rapids Fleet Farm store over the last few months and thought the building looked immense, you were right. Last night when Julie and I stepped inside the new store at Highway 100 and Edgewood Road for the first time and I realized just how big it is. I'm only kidding about needing a GPS to navigate it, but don't stop by thinking you'll only be there 15 minutes. You'll need much more time than that to explore this new store that seems to have everything.

We got a store map when I walked in the door. The light-colored area at the bottom of the map is the entrance. Also, the orange dots all represent Outside Pickup Ticket Kiosks.

Kids are going to absolutely love the horse statue inside the store.

I've never seen so many fishing rods in one place and they have ice fishing huts at the ready too.

Need a deer stand? They've got you covered.

The pet department is a big one. I've never seen so many cat trees and pet beds in one location.

There's even a little bit of furniture.

We needed a couple grocery items and were able to get those too.

There's a nice selection of Iowa and Iowa State merchandise and of course plenty of clothing for both men and women for indoors and out.

The seasonal section has plenty of Halloween items. It leads right into Toyland, with a whole lot of items that will end up as Christmas gifts this winter.

After one trip inside Fleet Farm the saying "If they don't have you, you don't need it" totally makes sense to me.

1.0 out of 5 starsNot worth the money- a few bucks of hardware store parts for nearly a Benjamin? Poor customer service.

Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2015

We bought the previous version of this large tree stand for our 12' tree last Christmas. Unfortunately, the flimsy plastic bowl that came with it was not up to the stress of positioning a large tree into it, and developed cracks, which we discovered when it let the mixture of water, iron, karo syrup, etc. leak onto our carpet, and begin dehydrating our tree to death. Hence the illustration in the product photo indicating that you, the end user, now have to supply a container for your tree's hydration.

The company, when contacted, indicated that the only solution was to purchase their double-IV tree watering system and pay full price, plus expedited shipping, to keep our tree alive. I did so, against my better judgment, and was disappointed to receive for my thirty-something dollar additional purchase to receive about two-dollars worth of hardware store tubing and barbed fittings. These failed to keep our tree alive, so that by Christmas day it was a droopy brown mess, and on the 26th it came down to prevent a house fire.

After generously selling me a full-price, expedited-shipped solution that didn't work to a product that broke when used as instructed, the manufacturer indicated that I could always ship the now worthless garbage back in exchange for another (still poorly designed) product.

No thanks. Into the trash it went, which is where this company's reputation belongs.
